The I'ara Specialist Support Coordination Atherton Tablelands Team attended the Tablelands Regional Council Disaster Preparedness day Hosted at Disability Matters.

Last Thursday our Brisbane Specialist Support Coordinator Tiarna headed along to the Southside Workday Wind Down hosted by Plan Partners alongside Spinal Life Australia, Amend Rehab and HECSA.
These kinds of events are always a great reminder of how important it is for providers to step away from the busy workday and connect with others in the sector. Strong relationships between services make a real difference for the people we all support.
A big thank you to the organisers for bringing everyone together and creating space for great conversations and new connections.
And of course… shout out to our Tiarna...who always gets a great photo for our socials 😉

WE’RE HIRING | Support Coordinator (Casual, Flexible) - INNISFAIL
We are currently seeking a great human to join our incredible Support Coordination team.
We're looking to someone with strong admin and people skills who is wanting to move into the community or disability sector. Full training is provided.
What you’ll be doing as a Support Coordinator:
• Helping people understand and use their NDIS plans
• Connecting participants with services and supports in their community
• Building service relationships
• Liaising with families, providers and health professionals
• Completing case notes and managing information using online systems
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has excellent computer and organisation skills
• Has strong customer service and communication skills
• Is passionate about their local community
• Has case management or human services experience (preferred but not essential)
• Is reliable, proactive and enjoys helping people
What we offer:
• Casual contract with flexible hours
• Work from home + access to our Cairns and Tablelands office
• Extensive training and ongoing support
• A genuinely supportive, values driven team

One of the most important skills of a great Support Coordinator is NETWORKING...researching, meeting, learning about all the local support services in your community. Because the more your Support Coordinator knows, the more they can support you to connect with supports that suit you.

Huge congratulations to Sarah, our current JCU: James Cook University, Australia Social Work placement student at i’ara.
Sarah has just been awarded Female Student Achieving the Best Result in “Women, Power and Society.” What an incredible achievement.
Over the past two years, i’ara has proudly supported nine university students through real-world placements across our organisation.

Our CEO and Founder spent lunchtime at the local IV infusion bar in Melbourne.
We're so hip 😂🤭
Fun fact: our CEO, Branka, is our Founder, Maddi Wright , mum 😀 They family together and work together (and get infusions together 🤣).
